Hey all, We did a video on the Hustler Raptor SD Deck Discharge Chute reinforcement bar modification. Instead of removing the entire bar that I disagree with and don't necessarily agree the bar needs removed. Thus, I chose to do a modification that will leave some of the safety factor the bar affords such as accidentally turning the mower deck into an object that may possibly get into the blade zone if the reinforcement bar is cut out. I simply cut the bar horizontally to remove the upper 5/8 of the reinforcement bar down to the top of the cutting blade that allows the clippings to move over the bar. The clippings do not come into contact the bar hardly at all. In the front of the deck, the bar is lowered slightly more than the rear due to the Lion's share of the clippings leave the deck discharge chute in the first 4 inches or less.
