If you remove the enforcement bar at the bottom of the deck, a leg could enter that large opening deep enough to be cut off. We do offer a solution to provide a modicum of safety as well as to help keep the grass clippings from being blown back into the operator in the even the discharge chute is up while cutting. The MaxsGarajMahal Grass Catcher Scallop Block Off Plate will help keep a leg from going into the scallop as deeply as it may without the block off plate. Our block off plate is manufactured from HDPE plastic in red for the Big Dog Alpha and yellow for the Hustler Raptor.
